I'am still a loyal windoze user for now
It's been a full year since I taste the beauty of Ubuntu, I've still using Ubuntu as my primary Operating System and Windoze as my secondary OS (I'm using Windoze primarily for playing games and contact editor for my new Samsung Galaxy Mini).
From the first day I install Ubuntu 10.10 on my wife's netbook until I got my own laptop and install both Ubuntu 11.04, from the day I fall in love to Openbox and Avant Window Navigator until today, I think Linux (in my case Ubuntu) might be the right course for me and my work. |

Ok, it's been a while since Ubuntu 12.04 "The Long Term Support" released and I haven't found anything that tells me my hardware is incompatible or anything so it would be a congratulation for Ubuntu team. BUT, I still hates Unity, 3D or 2D while Gnome 3 (or Gnome Shell) still have no workaround for my ATI GPU. But Linux is all about freedom, free to customize it according to your needs. There were some bugs that the Ubuntu team haven't got the time to fix, but not a major bug and there might be a bug fix update sometime near Well, that's just it. I'm still on that great journey of migration, I'm still learning, and on top of that I'm still green at this Linux environment stuff. But, this is a very exciting journey I'm willing to take. Some of the things that I wrote here were migrated from my personal blog. Other I took from other resources and I'll try to update my post with my own screen capture if I use it my self. The most important thing is, do not afraid to try anything new, keep yourself an open mind state, and I think you might landed on something better than what we already have. |
